Cheverly Food Truck Festival

Another reason I Choose Cheverly? My neighbors who volunteer to make our community awesome! Cheverly’s First Food Truck Festival is coming on September 27th. Why? Because a Cheverly resident, Rachel Dabney Rice, thought up the idea and got the entire thing up and running for all of us to enjoy in less than a month from now. Rachel says that “It will feature steel drum music by Positive Vibrations Youth Steel Orchestra, family friendly activities like Face Painting and a free Moonbounce! Best of all it will bring unique and interesting foods to town like Indian, Jamaican, Seafood and even a Chicken and Waffles Soul Food truck!  The Cheverly American Legion will host a Beer Garden and Vine Corps will be there selling yummy desserts! This is truly a fun festival for the whole town and by various groups in town who want to see cuisines not found nearby come to Cheverly. Admission to the event is FREE! Come join us, bring a chair or blanket, listen to live music and enjoy the company of neighbors. This year’s Festival will be held in front of the Cheverly Swim & Racquet club located at 5600 Euclid Street near the intersection of Crest & Euclid. This way you can walk next door and enjoy the brand new playground at Euclid Park that’s slated to open before our Festival!”

How awesome is this? I hope we can get more food trucks to come to our neighborhood on more of a regular basis- maybe a coffee truck in winter?! Let’s all continue to make this community awesome by supporting this new event. If you’d like more information, check out the Cheverly Food Truck Festival on Facebook.
