As I see everyone running around shopping for Christmas I’m reminded of things that money cannot buy. Money cannot buy deep friendships, loving neighbors who mow your grass when you are out of town, the smiles of children as they run down neighborhood streets in Halloween costumes, friends who watch your kids at the last minute, safety as you walk to a friend’s house. Money cannot buy you a soccer team where your child knows all his teammates before the season starts, warm summer days spent at the neighborhood pool, a walk to a new town park where kids can feel safe running around in the woods. You get the point. Money cannot buy you a community like Cheverly.
As I get ready to celebrate the birth of my Savior and welcome a New Year, I feel very blessed. I have so many things that money could never buy.
I’m signing off for a few days to vacation and rest with my family. Love to all my neighbors and friends.
