Did you think I was writing about a bakery coming to Cheverly?! I wish. Someone needs to help me transform Tuxedo Road. Until that happens and we get our own little shops coming to town, you will have to settle for some homemade baked goods twice during the month of April.
As Cheverly would have it, we have a couple events this week that you can attend. I tell you, we have a great neighborhood. This Thursday night we have a town meeting at the Cheverly Community Center. Our Mayor plans to bring a cake to honor the outgoing principal, Susan Holiday, and welcome the incoming principal of Spellman Elementary, Brandi Smith. (Mike will that be homemade cake?!) The meeting is at 8 and celebration is at 8:30.
This weekend is the infamous spring flee market and the Cheverly Weekday Nursery moms and dads will have their own baked good booth. Stop by on Saturday at the Community Center from 9-2 and pick up some treats.
Friends, I’m sad to report that I missed the Easter Egg Hunt this weekend. Our youngest son, by the end of Easter weekend, passed on his lovely stomach bug. The joys of parenting 🙂 I’m happy to report, however, that my dad came to visit us and helped me start my very own garden. I kill every plant I own so this whole endeavor should prove interesting- I hope to keep you up to speed on the blog. Any gardening tips, feel free to reach out.
