Hello friends. Hope everyone had a great weekend. After running around in DC traffic on Saturday, I made sure we stayed close to home on Sunday and enjoyed lounging at the pool. I did make one small run to a local thrift store and scored these fun shoes for my boys:

I have to tell you, we definitely have the best thrift stores in our area of town. Village Thrift is becoming a favorite, especially for shoes.

More than the shoes, I’m in love with the 3 paintings above, painted by a new friend, Jackie Koenig. Jackie painted both of my homes in Cheverly and my condo in downtown DC. I found a couple of beautiful frames (from our thrift stores) and cannot wait to fashion these on my walls at home. These make great gifts for friends and family. Check out her site here. And on Facebook here. Send her your pictures and then head over to a thrift store for a frame.

Okay, that is all my favorite things for today. I do, however, have some exciting news to share. I’ll be featuring a lovely lovely Cheverly home (that has a hot tub!!- I want it) on Thursday after it goes live on Wednesday. Stay tuned for some pictures and if you know of anyone looking to buy, tell them there is a great house coming on the market. Speaking of the market, there is another house in Cheverly (a rambler) that will have 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a 2 car garage. It should be for sale in the middle of this month. I headed over to see it on Friday (the contractors probably thought I was crazy) and was able to see the inside. I’m so excited to see the finished product. Now, my last bit of news is that by the beginning of September I will have a top 20 list for houses in Cheverly. My favorite 20 houses will be featured on this blog and on Facebook. Looking forward to having all our local DC peeps see just how lovely Cheverly really is….
