The Cheverly Pool. 3 words that mean so much. I know it’s open for two more days (next weekend) but with cooler temps coming soon, I’m assuming Labor Day was my last day for summer 2015. I have officially begun my season of grieving. If you still haven’t signed up to become a member, DO SO NOW. The pool is a life saver and even if I didn’t have young children, I’d be there relaxing and reading a book. Today’s events were a huge hit. I absolutely loved water Zumba.  (Me and all of the teens at the pool) Cotton candy for FREE and a huge water slide. Even though there was barely room to swim because of the amount of people at the pool, I was delighted to be there. My kids hung out with their friends and I had long introspective talks (ha) with some close friends. This is community folks–and Cheverly has it. If you are new to the neighborhood search through this blog for organizations to join and you will be just fine.

My life has been crazy for the past month. I had a friend from Europe visiting so we did all of the typical tourist outings. The weather was hot and humid so we took a spin on a hop on hop off double decker bus from Union Station. When we tired of city life we headed back to Cheverly. Many trips were taken to local thrift stores, Union Market, Moms Organic, off the beaten track warehouse, and to sweet and natural. We have some really fun stores nearby.

I feel like a new season is coming ( and it is)…..  This means fall community markets, local soccer games, food truck festival, St Ambrose Oktoberfest, Halloween parade and much much more. And more than all that, I have some really great news for you. A friend of mine who happens to be a neighbor and my own personal trainer opened her own business, Greenleaf Fitness. I can’t say enough about Anna Smith who wakes up with me at 5am 3 times a week to encourage me to stay healthy. She has a back to school trial for her work out class this month so you can drop by her class for a small fee! Here is more information from Anna:
