I so look forward to our Cheverly Market in the summertime. Nothing could be better for a mom with two boys (who need to get out of the house and run off their energy) then walking to Town Hall to grab some fresh fruits and veggies. I believe this is the first year that the market is having a fundraiser. Plan to come! Not only to support a local organization but also to purchase some beautiful art, drink wine and eat cheese!
Here is the blurb I’m sending out to my friends:
I wanted to let you know that I have donated a piece of art to the Feb. 19 Cheverly Community Market Wine Tasting + Art Benefit. It’s being held at the American Legion right here in Cheverly.
In addition to the silent auction featuring local artists, your ticket includes a wine tasting flight featuring award-winning selections from our Maryland wineries paired with local cheeses and meats to complement each varietal. Locally-made non-alcoholic fruit ciders from Shlagel’s Farm will also be available.
Tickets are $20 each or $35 for two tickets. While the Market will get the proceeds from ticket sales and the art auction, the cash bar will benefit the American Legion. It’s a double-whammy event in support of two great local organizations.
