Ok, I had the best night on Friday. I went to the wine and cheese fundraiser at the American Legion. Did you miss it? Well, you missed out. I laughed hard with a number of friends. I needed to laugh after spending the last week renovating my home and trying to do all my other mother duties while my husband was away. Not only did I get to have some great wine and cheese, I met some new Cheverly neighbors and they were all fabulous. What amazes me is how well people of different political backgrounds and of different ages can come together and have a blast. Again, Cheverly felt like such a small town.
If you missed the Legion event on Friday, don’t worry- you have plenty of opportunities to meet up with your neighbors and friends this weekend. The Men’s Club at St. Ambrose, our local Catholic parish is hosting a Spaghetti Dinner. Details: Sunday Feb 28th from 2-6 at St. Ambrose, $10 for adults, $6 for children, ages 6-12 and children 5 are free. Take out is available for $8. The opportunities are endless in Cheverly…and that is one of many reasons why I Choose Cheverly.
