Healthy Cheverly

There is absolutely no good reason not to live healthy in our great community. Here are some options for those of us who need help in this area (and don’t have much time to do the research ourselves)

-Kristen Gardner our local Cheverly neighbor is a chef and found of Mandala Fitness. Not only does she provide personal fitness instruction, she will deliver dinner to your door if you order ahead of time. Apparently she sends out a weekly menu and you place an order by Friday. She delivers the following Monday through Friday of the following week. She will do any meal and even takes requests. Paleo and vegan options are available too!

Join the CSA! Locally grown fruits and veggies delivered right to Cheverly Ave- bi- weekly or weekly available. I’m picking up my order tomorrow!

Join a local gym. I go to Planet Fitness and spend only $10 a month on the membership.

-How about Yoga at our local church led by a Cheverly neighbor? A new session of yoga classes begins on April 11.  This session is 12 weeks long and there are classes for every level of practitioner.  Beginners have two choices:  Monday 6:45-7:45 pm or Wednesday 6:45-7:45pm.  All classes are at Cheverly United Methodist Church on the top floor (sanctuary balcony level).  Register now by emailing me privately.  The full schedule with pricing is here:  http://www.wildfloweryoga.com/schedule/

There are also some fun workshops coming up that involve the yoga of singing and yoga and art.  There is even a Summer Solstice One Day retreat.  More information on these workshops are here:  http://www.wildfloweryoga.com/schedule/events/
Also, Kids Yoga, crawlers to age 3 with caregiver, will begin a new six-week session this Wednesday, April 6.  10:3011:15am, also at the yoga room at Cheverly United Methodist Church.
Greenleaf Fitness was founded by my own personal work out instructor, Anna Smith. Anna is a Certified Personal Trainer and a Fitness Nutrition Specialist. She received her certification through NASM, National Academy of Sports Medicine. Anna does personal training and also has small fitness groups that meet in the mornings at the local church. Anna also works alongside another Cheverly resident, Chase O’Brien to do work outs for little ones! Their combined experience and passion for children create a dynamic duo for kids’ fitness instructors.

As you can see, our small community leaves us with little to no excuses NOT to have a healthy lifestyle. Hope you can take part in one or two of these groups.
