The Cheverly Community Market returns this weekend. What is the Cheverly Community Market? I’m glad you asked.
The Market is a place to buy local fruits, veggies, jam, muffins, bread, plants etc and meet up with your neighbors. If you are new to the area, don’t make coffee at home. Come to the Community Center on Forest Rd, shop around and buy a cup of coffee from the ladies at St. Ambrose Church. Grab a muffin or two from Firehook Bakery and sit at one of the tables that have been set up. It’s a great place to meet people, or to reconnect with those you haven’t seen in a while. Can we call this a small Eastern Market?! I just think it’s a lovely idea. In fact, I normally walk from home (reminds me of my years living in Europe) and let the kids run around with their friends while I chat with mine. This year my kids will have a t-ball game on the fields nearby. If you are looking for a lazy morning, come down and see Cheverly’s youngest. This is truly a small town. I will end my little rant with some of the pictures I’ve taken in the past:
