In a report from DC Curbed, I learned that most people want to buy homes in the DC area but cannot afford to do it. https://dc.curbed.com/2017/5/30/15713316/home-buy-apartment-list
Shock! This is exactly why I keep up with this blog. I know many people cannot afford to live in a million dollar home, so I want them to know they can join the cool people in Cheverly, MD. I’m telling you this secret information because no one else will. Not the Washingtonian, or Curbed DC or Greater Greater Washington. I’ve spent time contacting all three to get our neighborhood profile up on their sites, but alas, I’ve had nothing but broken promises.
Cheverly, MD is continuing to climb on an upward trend. Susan Pruden, a local real estate agent has a page on her website that has the Cheverly Statistics Update. Here is what I learned today:
The Med List price for May 2017 is: 377, 250. Compare that to the 5 year avg of 342,120.
The Med Sale price for May 2017 was 398,500. Compare that to the 5 year avg of 342,590.
The Average Days on Market for May 2017 was 6 days. Compare that to the 5 year avg of 34 days.
Now that’s some good news.
