Hello friends. It’s been a while. I’m trying to take it easy and with the holidays coming up, that is hard to do! This will be a catch up post with news of my two favorite holiday Cheverly events and my holiday shopping list which I’m calling, “Lisa’s favorite things.” Ha.
For those of you who are new to town, you must come to the Cheverly Tree Lighting Ceremony and Yule Log Lighting! It’s definitely a small town gathering. (like one you’d see on a Hallmark movie :)) Mark your calendar for Friday Dec 1st. The evening starts at 6:30 at the town gym. A local choir will be preforming and you can have some cookies and hot cider. After this is done we will walk to Legion Park which is the grassy area in front of the Cheverly United Methodist Church for the tree lighting at 7:45. The girl scouts normally lead us in singing some carols as well. Don’t miss it. Seriously. It’s a fun fun event!
Another must attend event is the Cheverly Home Tour which benefits the Cheverly Weekday Nursery. www.cheverlyhometour.com It will be held on Saturday night Dec 9th! It’s a self guided tour where you can see the inside of 6 Cheverly homes.
Now…for some holiday shopping ideas. How about a custom painting of your Cheverly home? One of my favorite artists is Jackie Koenig and I have had her paint all three of my properties. Here is an example below:
Or for the men out there, my husband loves these pocket squares from Armstrong and Wilson: http://www.armstrongandwilson.com/
Or how about the warmest slippers you’ve ever had on your feet, handmade in Austria? http://austrianspecialties.store/
Or a piece of artwork from Everything But the House? My new favorite online store! https://www.ebth.com/
And last but not least, one of our local residents, Tracy Kitchen is an ambassador selling jewelry for the Noonday Collection. I’m obsessed with their earrings and cannot get enough. These make great gifts for your friends and family and are affordable to boot. http://tracykitchen.noondaycollection.com/onlinetrunkshow/?cl=987484EB-B407-49B3-97B8-969769042D4B
And those are my holiday shopping tips. (you can thank me later… j/k)
Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving. I’m so grateful for you all. Lisa
