Have you ever heard anyone call Cheverly a sleepy town? Think again, friends. Think again. It’s a big week for Cheverly. I’m so impressed with our Cheverly Police who have been hosting weekly kickball events and now ice cream socials. The Cheverly American Legion is opening their parking lot Friday night July 26th with a food truck and residents in our community are hosting a Vintage Market THIS Saturday July 20. Unreal–all run by volunteers as a desire to promote community. I hope we all will make it a point to attend some of these events. Details are below:
Join the Cheverly Community Market for “Pop & Shop: Vintage Night Out,” a free summer evening event featuring local vendors who specialize in scouring local flea markets and thrift shops for treasures including vintage and retro home décor, clothing and accessories as well as upcycled furniture. Vendors include Bon Vivant Vintage, #BASHPopUp (Beauty, Art, Style and Home Pop Up), Nonasuch Vintage & Craft, O & C Antiques, Vestige Studio, Second Chance, Lisa Williams, Christine Robertson, The Vintage Child, Tarantula Teeth, Your Style DC and more.
Shop and mingle while sipping on wine or bubbles topped off with a delicious puree made from locally-grown strawberries. The Market will run a bar with drinks for purchase. Snacks for nibbling will be provided.
There is no ticket or cost to attend this event. Ample parking and a $7 Uber or Lyft ride from the Cheverly Metro Station (orange line).
